J Cole’s Apology To Kendrick Lamar

J Cole surprised the hip-hop world just a few days ago with the release of his new project, Might Delete Later.

This new project just so occurred to include a diss tune aimed at Kendrick Lamar titled “7 Minute Drill.” Overall, the diss track received mixed reviews. Many believed it was weak, while others thought it was an effective method to examine Kendrick’s body of work. Cole, on the other hand, has reversed his criticism. On Sunday night at the Dreamville Festival, Cole apologized to Kendrick. As it turns out, writing the diss track made him feel terrible.

“I’m so proud of that project except for one part,” he remarked. “There’s one component of that sh*t that makes me go, ‘Man, that’s the lamest sh*t I ever did in my f*cking life.” And I realize this isn’t what most people want to hear. I can hear my n****s up there now saying, ‘Nah, don’t do that. But I have to keep it 100 with you. “I almost had a relapse.” Punch and Reason were among the TDE members who reacted. As you can see, they were not very amused.

Punch took to Twitter and just said, “lol.” Meanwhile, Reason stated, “Idk man, I just…idk.” This aligns with what many other hip-hop fans are thinking right now. At the end of the day, Cole probably should have simply stood on his diss track. Instead, we get an apology that may have long-term consequences. Only time will tell how long it takes fans to forget what transpired.

Let us know what you think of J Cole’s apology in the comments section below. Do you believe Cole made a significant mistake? Do you believe the rap community is truly terrified of Kendrick Lamar?
